twins

The “twins” in bright morning sunlight.

Click on the thumbnail above for my early morning view of Pikes Peak from the Garden of the Gods. I was there at dawn, but the mountian was hidden by clouds. I captured this image as the clouds began to lift after sunrise.

This is my first post on wordpress. I’ve imported all my previous blogger posts and plan to use wordpress for future posts. I like the static pages available on the wordpress blogs and may eventually combine my website and blog. Sorry for the confusion, if any. Please update your links and feeds, but know that this may be a temporary change of address. After I get my hosting issues sorted out, the website and blog should be at one address.

Wow - even without a view of Pike’s Peak, I like the top photo. Very elemental and resonant with a prehistoric past.

I’ve been debating a move to wordpress, also, but hadn’t come up (yet) with anything I couldn’t do in blogger. And I hate to move again unless there’s strong reason. I’ll be interested to hear your assessment once you’ve settled in.

Wren, thanks for commenting. Yours is my first comment since importing conworld to wordpress.
The photo of the twins from that angle was the last image I captured from that trail. I was in a part of the park where there aren’t as many formations, so wanted to get something more out of the location. Looks like I should have ignored the peak from the beginning, eh?

Wow, now those are amazing formations. It really is mind boggling to see rock formations like that…makes you wonder how they are still standing!

Wonderful light in both of these. Good move to Wordpress, it really is the best blogging software out there.
