I miss sitting in my mother’s warm kitchen, and watching her dozens of birds. She had a mocking bird that nearly ate out of her hand. I would be feeding the sugarbirds in my neighborhood, but there are too many cats. grrr.
Melissa, I think I would have enjoyed your mother’s kitchen, too.
Sugarbirds?
Our two cats are indoor types, not by their own choice. We imprison them so they won’t be food for wildlife and predators of the lovely birds. The cats have a ‘run’ enclosed so that they can go out for fresh air and sunshine without getting into trouble.
